Since incorporation, the company’s growth has predominantly been in the healthcare industry, offering expert services in construction management design-build, value engineering, estimating, and construction under HCAi (OSHPD) projects.

Project Management

FTG’s objective is to complete every construction project on time and within budget. We begin by consulting with every stakeholder and specialist involved. Based on discussions with the design team, occupants, subcontractors and our own on-site staff, we prepare a comprehensive schedule that specifies all of the important phases and milestones – including potentially disruptive situations such as utility shutdowns. This master schedule is reviewed on a regular basis with the entire project team to measure progress along the critical path to completion and to determine solutions to known challenges and looking ahead for potential challenges.

Design-Bid-Build Services

Design-Build is the traditional building method in construction services. We provide estimating services during the design/bid phase and work closely with the design team to provide a more realistic cost estimate and schedule. We also offer constructability/value engineer services before construction during the final design stages.

Design-Build Services

Depending on the project owner’s delivery system, we provide services in the Construction-Led Design-Build approach:

During pre-construction FTG Builders acts as a construction manager in collaboration with the architectural firm and becomes the General Contractor after the price is negotiated.  We put together a team of architects/engineers who have the technical skillsets in the Healthcare industry to design the project.  We represent the owner as the general contractor during construction, and we oversee the day-to-day operations, including managing subcontractors.

Adapting to the needs of the Project Owners, we provide services in the Architect-Led-Design-Build Approach where the Architect is responsible in charge of performing both design and construction under a single contract.  The owner and Architect can develop the scope of the design phase and then bring the General Contractor into the construction process in a more streamlined schedule.

Construction Management at Risk

(CMAR)

FTG Builders provides project owner(s) a turnkey professional service in the practical construction process from pre-construction to design and bid, through construction management of the project’s schedule, cost, quality, safety, scope, and function.  Our goal as the Construction Manager is to value engineer and find cost-saving opportunities where possible during the design phase.

Self-Performing Work

One of the benefits of hiring FTG Builders as your next General Contractor is that we can do some of the self-performing work from patch and repair, paint touch-up, and in-fill concrete work on small projects.

We have the human resources and a concrete crew to help on your next concrete project, from driveway approaches, ADA ramps, sidewalks, curb, and gutter.
