Project Management Expertise

FTG’s objective is to complete every construction project on time and within budget. We begin by consulting with every stakeholder and specialist involved. Based on discussions with the design team, occupants, subcontractors and our own on-site staff, we prepare a comprehensive schedule that specifies all of the important phases and milestones – including potentially disruptive situations such as utility shutdowns. This master schedule is reviewed on a regular basis with the entire project team to measure progress along the critical path to completion and to determine solutions to known challenges and looking ahead for potential challenges.

Healthcare Construction

We specialize in the high standards and rigorous requirements of construction for the healthcare industry. So our staff has extensive experience complying with the demanding regulations of the California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI), formerly known as OSHPD. We can help with permit procurement, drawing preparation and submittal, HCAI ACD/ASI processes, office review and site inspection, and leveraging our relationships with HCAI office and field staff. We understand that timely execution is imperative when involved in an HCAI-governed project. We bring our deep experience to bear eliminating time lost to inaccuracies caused by the construction team.

Carpentry

FTG’s carpentry services are grounded in craftsmanship and careful coordination. Our goal is to complete every carpentry phase on time and within budget. We begin by consulting with designers, subcontractors, and our skilled carpenters to develop a schedule that aligns with structural and finish requirements. From framing to fine finishes, we plan for every milestone, including potential disruptions. Regular reviews with the team help us stay on track and adapt to any challenges that arise during the build.

Excavation

Excavation is the foundation of every successful project, and FTG ensures it’s done right—on time and within budget. We start by collaborating with civil engineers, utility providers, and site crews to develop a schedule that includes all excavation phases and accounts for underground risks and utility shutdowns. This master schedule is reviewed frequently with the team to monitor progress and proactively address any site-specific challenges or delays.

Concrete

FTG’s concrete services are built on precision and planning. Our objective is to complete every concrete pour—whether for foundations, sidewalks, or ADA ramps—on time and within budget. We coordinate closely with structural engineers, finish crews, and our in-house concrete team to develop a schedule that includes curing times, weather considerations, and potential disruptions. Regular schedule reviews ensure we stay aligned with the project timeline and can quickly respond to any issues.

Drywall

Drywall installation requires timing and coordination to keep the project moving smoothly. FTG works with designers, MEP trades, and finish crews to create a schedule that ensures drywall work is completed on time and within budget. We plan around inspections, utility access, and other trades to minimize disruption. Our team reviews the schedule regularly to track progress and resolve any issues before they impact the critical path.

Painting

Painting is one of the final steps in a project, and FTG ensures it’s executed with precision and efficiency. We coordinate with finish trades, designers, and our painting crew to develop a schedule that aligns with project milestones and occupancy timelines. We account for ventilation, drying times, and access limitations. Regular reviews of the schedule help us maintain quality and ensure the painting phase is completed on time and within budget.

Design-Bid-Build Services

Design-Build is the traditional building method in construction services. We provide estimating services during the design/bid phase and work closely with the design team to provide a more realistic cost estimate and schedule. We also offer constructability/value engineer services before construction during the final design stages.

Expansive Heathcare Project Portfolio

During pre-construction FTG Builders acts as a construction manager in collaboration with the architectural firm and becomes the General Contractor after the price is negotiated. We put together a team of architects/engineers who have the technical skillsets in the Healthcare industry to design the project. We represent the owner as the general contractor during construction, and we oversee the day-to-day operations, including managing subcontractors.

Adapting to the needs of the Project Owners, we provide services in the Architect-Led-Design-Build Approach where the Architect is responsible in charge of performing both design and construction under a single contract. The owner and Architect can develop the scope of the design phase and then bring the General Contractor into the construction process in a more streamlined schedule.

Construction Management at Risk (CMAR)

FTG Builders provides project owners with a comprehensive, turnkey service that spans the entire construction lifecycle—from pre-construction and design to bidding and  construction execution.
